Prayer letter - November 2015

Madrid, November, 23rd, 2015

Greetings

Dear brothers, sisters and friends:

The second month of this second course is almost done, here at Sefovan, and with it also great subjects with great teachers are done. The last one, Principles for the bible study, with Manny Fernández, gave us the keys for the Bible study, so we can prepare Bible sessions and preachings.

Nothing changed a lot during the last month, but there are good news: the church where I go to, has already approved the objectives about impacting Aluche neighbourhood and the project is starting to be presented to the different groups at the church (youth group, women group, etcetera) so they can help as a group (as well as individuals).

I ask you to pray for this project, and that you pray for the responsibles, Ángel, the pastor, and all of us who are going to be there; not just for us, but for the project and for the glory goes to God; and also for the people who will listen the message, so the can find it totally authentic and different at the same time.

What I am doing now, is to assist the youth meetings and one of the home meetings, trying to transmit and apply to them the knowledge I learn at the Seminar.

Daniel Lozano

Sefovan is the other one place in which, logically, I am implied. And we are asking prayer for many topics related with this ministry. First of all, thank God for the teachers that, most of the time as volunteers, dedicate part of their busy ministry lives to teach us with an extremely good quality.

Secondly, for the students. Thank the Lord for us and for the way God istaking care of us. I want to remember about Daniel Rodríguez: He had to leave the course this month because of his really complicated economical situation that he is living together with his wife.

And, in third place, for the institution. We are in a change process to a possible own building as many years ago it had. But it seems really difficult to reach, because the actual government of Madrid community does not want to give this space up to Sefovan or any Evangelical association, or it is extremely hard, even there are many people already decided to economically support this project from the United States.

Sefovan means also its leaders. And Sefovan means not only Sefovan in Spain, which already includes Madrid, Benidorm, San Sebastián, Girona, etcetera, but in Cuba, India and many other places. Let's pray for all the ministry because it is really hard to carry a good quality theological education (at the same level of big American seminars) in an affordable way for the people.

The prayer topics are the same they were on the last letter, as the objectives are still the same:

To be able to serve correctly in every place, and to be humble.
My work with the youth group and the evangelism ministry at Aluche church.
For the souls who meet Jesus.
Wisdom for I can apply all what I study at Sefovan and do not forget it as just theory.
Thank God for all what He does.

The different ministries:
- Social work at "Cristo Vive": Every Friday the gospel is shared and food is given to needed people.
- OnTheRedBox®: From Monday to Saturday, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. they share the gospel in many different ways at Puerta del Sol.
- Barajas Biblical Church (IBB): They are now near to open. We thank you for all the prayers. Continue praying now for the impact on the neighbourhood.
- Sefovan evangelism campaigns: This course, evangelism campaigns continue. After the first one in Madrid, the second one took place in Recas, a small town near Toledo. The church helped with a good attitude, and lots of people heard the Good News.
- Iglesia Cristiana Evangélica de Aluche (ICEA):
  - ICEA is about to start shortly a new evangelism ministry in which I would like to work. Pray for it.
  - The pastors want us to pray so they find a young (not youth) pastor that is prepared for the leadership at church..

Farewell

I say goodbye to you, not with bye but with see you later. I know you are praying for everything, and it is noticeable and I can see it everyday. I am really thankful to you, sencere and authentically, for the time you spend to pray for these topics that may not really care to you. Thank you very much.

Sefovan

Sefovan students and their ministries

I am going to ask for special prayer for two of my mates at Sefovan, exposing briefly their call and what they are doing and why they study at Sefovan.

Daniel Lozano is a young singer-songwriter from Santander. His call is related with music world and to sing for God, by composing authentic and full of doctrine lyrics in contrast with the nowadays Christian music, which is really empty of this content.

As he felt this call, he decided to get theological formation, arriving that way to Sefovan. After a year, he has started his project of publishing his first own songs publicly, by creating a new band or group of voluntary musics who see in him a person who wants to serve the Lord with music. Erika Tufilli

Native to Italy and Germany, Erika arrives to Spain casually many years ago. By helping in different ministries here, she gets to know that even she has to leave, God has called her to Spain, and with this idea in her mind, she starts to find a place in which she could get some formation. And she found Sefovan.

Nowadays, she has started a ministry, #ChuecaParaCristo (#ChuecaForChrist), at Chueca neighbourhood, in Madrid, where she is establishing contact with some homeless and other people so further in time she or someone can open, maybe, a mission point or a church, depending on God's work. At the same time, she is one of the youth leaders at her church, Cristo Vive at San Fernando de Henares (Madrid).

My family

Changing totally the topic, I am going to talk about my family. Family is strongly important, and I must not forget of mine. We are all family when we are called sons of God.

They are not having a good time, right now. My parents do not have resources as none of them is working nor they can find a job, and the help they receive from the government does not cover the needs they have. I would like that you will pray for them as well, and for a job or a way they can have just what they need.

My situation

I do not like to talk about my situation, but it is necessary to do it in my letter. I want you to continue praying so I can see God's will in what I am doing. I thing that, at the moment, I have to help in the evangelism project at my church, at the same time I help the youth people in all the thinks I can be useful in.

But I do not see the way this is related with my call and my ministry contract. And I would like that you ask God to show me this relation, or to show me what I have to do if I am not doing what He wants me to do.

And, finally, I have to talk about my economical situation. Many unexpected expenses appeared that I had to assume, and that makes that my budget had been reduced. Pray for a job or a way I can get what I need; or support me, if God is moving you to do it so I can continue following his plan.
